Grand Master’s Message
Welcome to the website of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of A.F.&A.M. of Colorado. Freemasonry in Colorado has a rich history that dates back to the formation of the Grand Lodge of Colorado on August 2nd, 1861. Today, there are 6,000 Masons and 120 Masonic Lodges in Colorado. Freemasonry is the world’s first and largest fraternal organization, and for more than 300 years, has been guided by the enduring belief that everyone has a responsibility to make the world a better place.
The Colorado Masonic Family consists of 11 appendant and concordant bodies that maintain and practice a specific charitable and philanthropic cause with the purpose of assisting those in need.
We as Freemasons seek to shape the future by fostering the personal growth and moral character of our members who come from all walks of life. It is through these means that Freemasonry seeks to improve our communities.
Colorado Freemasons stand for the worship of a Supreme Being, truth and justice, fraternity and philanthropy, and enlightenment. We believe that the attainment of these objectives is best accomplished by practicing the principles upon which men of every race, country, sect and opinion may agree. Freemasonry’s sublime truths and lessons are spread across the globe, free for the taking by any man that wishes to improve himself and his society.
